Preventing Child Labour and
Helping Child Labourers get

Education
This project will help 5000 of Owerri’s out-of-school children working in hazardous
occupations get the extra support they need to get back to schools and see that
they complete primary and secondary education, in the region, at least.
It is also aimed at creating awareness for sex and relationships education in schools. We intend to use this medium to protect their sexual health; ensure that young people have access to free confidential contraceptive and sexual health service and make sure that they have safer sex. Presently, we intend to see that children learn about the biology of reproduction and the emotional and relationships side of sex since teaching children about sex from a young age helps to reduce abortion rates and sexually transmitted infections when they reach adolescence.
