Workers at J&B Foundation UK relieve the suffering of severely malnourished children in Eastern Nigeria, and protect their future welfare by working closely with families to help prevent malnutrition, destitution and confusion. The Emergency division provides emergency health care to children with acute malnutrition and sex-related health problems. The Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre rehabilitates undernourished children, leads them back to school, and creates enlightenment and supportive care training on how to provide nutritious diet, even on tight budgets. Through preventative healthcare measures we protect the well-being of youngsters. J& B Foundation UK intends to directly help 500 malnourished children and displaced youngsters through this project between January 2010 and December 2015.
At the end of year one of this three year project, we intend to achieve our goals. Activities in the final year will mainly focus on bringing together displaced youngsters in community groups and local governments to ensure that the benefits of this work are felt by the various communities they are intended for.
